Dear Balitmore Orioles fans: Does anyone know the answer to this question?? Were the great Baltimore Oriole teams of the 1890's a direct ancestor to (God forbid) the New York Yankees?? I knw that The American League Baltimore Orioles Franchise in 1903 was purchased and moved to Manhattan and were named first the New York Highlanders then the New York Yankees..but I don't know if those Baltimore Oriole Teams of the National League had a direct link to those bad Bronx Bombers..Let me know if you know and cite the research if possible. Thanks..Joe P.S. I have CD called Baseball Songs Sports Heroes and it contains three songs related to the Baltimore Orioles and Babe Ruth!

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <info@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.interesting.com> would become <info@interesting.com>.
