Cubs Forum: The Corked One

Posted by: JB () on 6 Jun 2003 at 1:38:45 PM

I wanted to believe Sammy Sosa was an honorable player. I think in today's world you want to believe that some people have those Lou Gehrig/Cal Ripken type values. Unfortunately, they are few and far between. I truly believe Sosa was tainted when the steroid issue first surfaced. Get real. Do you really think that you should not be questioned? You are making an ungodly amount of money which is in itself ludicrous. Then to whine about being treated harshly, unfairly, etc. just shows that you don't live in the real world. Now Pedro is coming out in defense of Sammy crying about the race card. Excuse me??? Do you know who Pete Rose is? Mickey Mantle received bad press for his infidelity and alcohol problems. Nobody is immune. To say it has to do with race, is a crock. If you were Joe Blow on the street, nobody would care as much but you'd lose your job and suffer much more. The simple fact is that Sammy destroyed his own credibility with his "mistaken" action. To think there will be no fallout and that is not justified is pure fallacy. Join the Dixie Chicks if that's what you think.

Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <info@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.interesting.com> would become <info@interesting.com>.
