Braves Forum: Skip and Pete

I've been a Braves fan for
years - watched them go
from "worst to first" and the
best part of the game was
listening to Skip Carey. He
IS the "voice of the Braves".
The only time Don Sutton
was bearable was when he
was paired with Skip,
because Skip wasn't
intimidated by his arrogant,
know-it-all rendition of the
game. It's no wonder the
Braves have started off so
miserably this year. They
are probably totally
demoralized. Besides
losing some of our old
regulars/favorites, they now
are trying to take away their
identity. Baseball gets
worse every year, and this
is about as low as it gets.
So with the Braves playing
so badly (I still love 'em)
and Skip no longer calling
the game, it's hardly worth
watching any more. I know
it's hard (maybe
impossible) for
Management to admit they
erred but without Skip, it just
isn't baseball. Hope they
realize what an unpopular
move this is and admit we
ALL want Skip and Pete
back.

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <info@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.interesting.com> would become <info@interesting.com>.
