I had the pleasure of being warren's partner in a charity golf tournament in 1984 in Peru NY. This was a benefit for kids by the NY State Correction Officers from the Clinton Hub. On the friday nite preceding the event it went down to the wire as to who I could have as my cerlebity, being a Lynn Mass born and bred guy,, it came down to Warren or Luis Tiant,, I went with Warren because I thought he would provide the years of retirement skill wise on the course,, to my surprise,, he provied me with the best, and most enjoyable , and to say the least funniest afternoon of my life,, this is a class act of a man,, a guys guy. After the event he was one of the last to leave,, he entertained the brass of law enforcement of Clinton County NY . He decided that I give him a ride to the hotel instead of the limo provided, to say the least we made a few stops,, (warren you know) , we have stayed in touch for all these years,, I called him on the night that former , ahem Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemons won his 300th game, it was so good to talk to him again,, his only complaint was that the wheel chair he is in due to injury is restricting his fun,, ahem again ,,,, golf. Love the old guy,,,,,,you looked great today at Cooperstown!!! God Bless Warren we love you here in upstate NY,, let it be know warren never got paid for his apperance at this tournament , what a guy,,, he gets my respect, and the love of my family,,, sincerly ted willis

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <info@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.interesting.com> would become <info@interesting.com>.
