Braves Forum: Multiple 100 RBI Members
Posted by: David Price (ddprice4@ThisIsToPreventSpam-370-RemoveThis.juno.com) on 16 Sep 2003 at 8:25:28 PM In the recent attempt of Chipper Jones to reach the 100 RBI level for the 8th straight year, Mr. Van Wieren keeps mentioning that by doing so that would give the Braves four team members to reach the 100 RBI level for 2003. But he then incorrectly compares that achievement to the 1953 "Boys of Summer" Brooklyn Dodgers stating that that team had six members that reached the 100 RBI level. Hodges, Snider and Campanella exceeded 100 RBIs and Robinson and Furillo exceeded 90 RBIs. Where six members of that team each did exceed 100 was in "Runs Scored," not RBIs. Please ask Mr. Van Wieren to correct the mistake.
