Baseball Forum: Hillenbrand Trade

Posted by: Gordon Proctor (gproctor@ThisIsToPreventSpam-288-RemoveThis.fcgnetworks.net) on 30 May 2003 at 6:03:36 AM

I am 71 yrs old and have been a Red Sox fan for 66 years. The Hillenbrand trade for Kim is the stupidest trade in my lifetime. Trading a terrific young talent who is hitting over .300 and leads the team in RBI's for a mediocre pitcher is insane. This trade will end the season for me and probably for the Sox. It certainly will hurt morale on the team. All fans should be furious. Get rid of Theo and get someone who knows what he is doing. Gordon Proctor

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <info@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.interesting.com> would become <info@interesting.com>.
