Baseball Forum: Lou Gehrig Special Services US Army Bat

Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can find information on a Lou Gehrig Bat (i.e., age, history, value)? The bat is embossed with the following words "Special Services U.S. Army Safe Hit Lou Gehrig Model". It was made by Hillerich & Bradsby Co. and is a No. 14.

If the person posting this message left their e-mail address, we inserted some random characters to prevent spammers from harvesting their address. Spammers do this with automated "bots" that constantly search the Web looking for e-mail addresses. Since you're a human being, not a bot, you can easily obtain the real address by removing the text that says "ThisisToPreventSpam-XYZ-RemoveThis." including the random number XYZ and the period at the end. For example, <info@ThisIsToPreventSpam-123-RemoveThis.interesting.com> would become <info@interesting.com>.
